Tomato Soup • 6 to 8 servings
Garden tomatoes make tasty soup!
Ingredients
8 cups tomato soup stock
3-4 large tomatoes, diced
2-2 1/2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Method
In a saucepan, combine tomato soup stock, milk and heavy cream.
Simmer for 15 minutes stirring often.
Add diced tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper and heat on medium-low for about 30 minutes.
Ladle into bowls and top with your favourite grated cheese and fresh herbs.
