Chicken Wings with Veggies & Dips
Cooking chicken wings in an air fryer is quick & easy. Just follow the instructions in the air fryer manual, and voila, you'll feast on these tasty morsels in a fraction of the time it takes to oven bake them.
Since receiving the air fryer from our son, chicken wings have been on the menu regularly. In a large bowl, marinate the wings in vegetable oil of choice and a herb rub for at least 1 hour at room temperature.
Chicken Wing Herb Rub ~ 30 wings
1/4 cup paprika, smoked or sweet
3 tablespoons ground black pepper
3 tablespoons granulated garlic
3 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons dried thyme leaves
1 tablespoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons coriander
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Mix ingredients together in a air-tight container. Store in a cool place for up to 1 year.
In a large bowl, add the chicken wings. Pour 2-3 Tablespoons of vegetable oil onto the wings. Sprinkle wings with a generous amount of the chicken rub and mix thoroughly with the oil to make sure they are well coated.
Prepare carrot & celery sticks. We enjoy blue cheese dressing and Frank's Red Hot sauce for dipping.
